This year in crafting

I haven’t done a lot of knitting and sewing in 2018. This was mostly because we’d just moved into our apartment together. We spent a lot of time furnishing our apartment and figuring out our life in a two person and one cat household. I had health problems limiting my ability to do many things (that are hopefully going to be resolved in the new year). Plus, I got used to writing my thesis at home instead of at university, and found a job at a all-day care program for primary school children that proved challenging (and very rewarding). That is to say, there were a lot of new things! Mostly good things, but still things that took time, thought and effort.

I still managed to finish some things. Especially in the second half of the year, when I felt I had acclimated well in my new situation, I took up a few projects again. While there were less than in previous year, they are all well-loved and often in use! The cardigans especially are in constant rotation. This is why I’m happy with this crafting year, because one of the goals is to make well-done and versatile garments that you find yourself reaching for and make you feel comfortable and attractive, isn’t it?
