I don’t actually like to wear pyjamas for sleeping. Instead I prefer oversized t-shirts, or nightgowns if I want to be fancy. Problem is that it can get cold lounging on the couch in the evening like that, or when getting up in the morning! I had looked for a suitable cardigan pattern for a while, and the Burda Easy 02/2019 No. 2 fit the bill perfectly.

The project was quickly done, which is why I forgot I hadn’t posted about it here on the blog yet! In hindsight, the floral cotton satin I used wasn’t quite right for it. (I plan to make another version in a more flowy, drape-y type of fabric.) I didn’t add a cuff to the sleeves either because I don’t even like how it looks in the original version. Since I didn’t have enough energy to cut out the facing (this was during my lack-of-sewjo phase) I just used bias tape from my stash. I promise to be more diligent for my second version!

That said, I still like this cardigan, and have worn it lots in the evening and the morning. So it fulfills its purpose despite its imperfections!
