August Review

August 2022 saw my return to this blog, after my efforts in this area had been sporadic to say the least for months. I did some knitting, I did some sewing, and then I documented the results for all the internet to see! Why yes, I’m patting myself on the shoulder here. More importantly, it’s been a lot of fun!

I especially enjoyed the photoshoot for this jacquard knit top (Burda Style 03/2022 No. 103A). I was really feeling myself, partly thanks to my amazing Miranda’s Choice sun hat, and had a lot of fun posing and goofing around.

Usually I’m quite old-fashioned when it comes to Internet things, which is why I still have a blog instead of TikTok. I guess I felt brave the day I decided to make a short video for my Valentines Day-themed washcloths! I wouldn’t exactly say it’s been a resounding success, but nobody was born an expert, haha.

Sewing this long-sleeved top was fairly easy, so I also wrote about my struggles with the photoshoot for Burda Style 02/2021 No. 122 instead. I think it’s important to be honest and talk about the moments where you had a hard time too, especially in this image-obsessed #lifegoals Instagram world.

I’m really happy that I could focus more on my creative side this month! It’s been sorely needed and brought me lots of joy. I definitely could recuperate some strength for the rest of the year!
