What do you do when your knitting productivity has slowed down considerably over the past couple of years? Well, I can’t really give a perfect solution, but a quick and easy project like the GAP-tastic Cowl by Jen Geigley seems to do the trick for me. Also it helps if you bribe yourself with multicolour yarn like Wolle Rödel Rigato to knit up something in record-breaking time (compared to all the years-old knitting projects languishing at the back of my crafting cabinet at least).

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas holiday! We’ve basically eaten our entire weight in delicious Christmas food. On Christmas Eve we had herring salad, a sacred family tradition, and on Christmas Day my Dad cooked an exquisite, mouth-watering holiday feast! I made everyone listen to various recordings of The Messiah, my favourite being the trippy one by Red Priest.

My mom was happy about her cowl, and I’m thinking about making one for myself. Multicoloured of course, because we all can use a little happiness amidst this dreary winter time! It’s really warm and snuggly, too. I keep meaning to update my scarves, cowls and hats anyway. Most of them are years old, and I feel I need to change it up a bit.
