2022 in crafting

I think we can all agree that 2022 was a shit year, but in comparison to 2021 it came with a mild upswing in my crafting output! Not that this matters much in a global perspective, but. You know. You gotta celebrate the little things.

At the beginning of the year, I finished two WIPs I had to put down because of problems with my right wrist. The Aislyn sweater was a win because I finished something, but after trying – and failing – to incorporate it into different outfits I have to admit it was a fail otherwise. It just looks incredibly awkward. The Warm & Tingley Mitts were received warmly. Then I had a bit of a phase where I sewed up easy longsleeve shirts. I wear both Burda Style 03/2022 No. 103A and Burda Style 02/2021 No. 122 regularly and love them! Inbetween I used up leftover yarn to make washcloths. They’re really useful. I know what to do with future cotton leftovers! Burda Style 09/2021 No. 102A is cute in theory, but I feel uncomfortable wearing it because the neckline is too high. My last project of the year is the GAP-tastic Cowl for my mother. It turned out really cute and comfy, I want to make one for myself. 🙂

To sum it up, I made some good basics. Nothing fancy, but very useful additions to my wardrobe! Crafting-wise, it was a solid 2022. In general and global news, lets never talk about this cursed year ever again, thankyouverymuch.
