Here’s a confession: palacsinta are the greatest thing in the world. There are crêpes, pancakes, Pfannkuchen, but they don’t compare to palacsinta for me; they don’t remind me of sitting in the tiny little palacsinta place in Buda with friends, having a good time and eating ALL THE PALACSINTAS EVER. I’ve had never much luck in making them myself, though: they ended up too thick or to ripped apart in the pan. But that is OVER now! Luck at those SPLENDID specimen! I followed a new recipe (in German) and they are perfect. And yes, I do prefer the not-sweet ones with sour cream and cheese, but as desert I had palacsinta with strawberry jam. Yummy!
