I enjoy a challenge when it comes to knitting. Often I find myself choosing patterns where I’m somewhat out of my depth – as is the case with a project I can’t show you yet because the recipient reads this blog! 😛 When I knit for my uncle however I look for simpler patterns that he’d actually like to wear, and I’ve really come to enjoy the projects where I can just happily knit away without having to think so much! Also, it amazes me time and again how you can create a good-looking pattern with simple knit & purl alone. I think I want to make a Man Thing version for myself, too …
