Eek, spiders!

DROPS Flora is the gift that keeps on giving. I bought it originally to knit a hat for my uncle in 2017, then tried to use up the leftover yarn by making a scarf for Phil.

Unbelievably, I still had one skein left afterwards. (I could have used it up in the scarf, but I would’ve probably stabbed myself with my knitting needles had I knit another pattern repeat. Scarves are tedious and repetitive.) I started these fun little handwarmers back in November, then put them aside for a while because I had mixed up the instructions for the left and the right glove.

Thanks to the dark grey yarn, the spider pattern is quite subtle. That’s fine by me, I don’t want the arachnophobiacs to run screaming at the sight of my hands. 😉 The pattern calls for the ribbing on top to almost cover the tip of your fingers so that you can fold it down. I didn’t do that for aesthetic reasons and because I figured if it was that cold I’d wear gloves anyway … which is why I still have a good bit of yarn left. Stash-busting is challenging, y’all.
